What Is This Case About?


Respondent; Sea Crest Land Development, Inc., owns a parcel of property within the boundaries of the Quinault Nation and Jefferson County, WA. It looks as if Sea Crest Land Development, Inc. has built a cabin/structure on the property. This parcel of property is within the “open areas” of the Quinault Nation. The Quinault Nation is saying they held legal jurisdiction over zoning of the property in question, which is owned by Sea Crest Land Development Inc.


This case is to resolve the issue, on whether the Quinault Nation has jurisdiction over “fee simple” property, within an “open area” of the Quinault Nation.

October 21st 2009
I contacted Jefferson County Superior Court, they issued a statement that the case is currently pending a decision from the Supreme Court for the State of Washington, which is an appellate court.
The Quinault Nation is the party that has appealed the previous appellate court decision. 

October 29th 2009

I contacted the Supreme Court of Washington, the clerk's office has told me that a Motion to Dismiss has been filed. They told me that it was the Quinault Nation that filled for Dismissal.

I will confirm this, once I receive court documents and let you know.
